An African American man won the lotto for $20,000 (N152,000,000), but when he told his family they refused to join him in celebrating.
They were divided on the issue, with some claiming he didn’t deserve the money and others claiming he wouldn’t share it with them, which led to a heated argument in their home.
The man’s grandmother referred to the money as an investment in him, thus she did not think he had really won $20,000 in the lottery.
It was the second time he had won so much money, and his family was upset because it seems he had not given them the first one.
His conversation with his grandmother regarding her stance on the issue as other family members fought over their claims is captured in a viral video on social media.
He expressed his eagerness to bring home the money and questioned why she was upset with him for winning the lotto.
“So you mad that I won $20,000 for the second time, I can’t wait to come back with the 20 thousand dollars”, he asked.
His grandma responded; “You ain’t won shii, they knew you had that money, they invested that money.”
Someone in the background scolded him for talking back to their grandmother but he tried to defend himself by pointing out how she was speaking to him.
