The esteemed producer, recognized for her successful films including Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti and House of Ga’a, took to her Instagram account this morning to express her sincere gratitude.

In reflecting on the immense love she received, Austen-Peters noted that while she has always felt cherished, the expressions of affection she experienced yesterday were extraordinary. From the family and friends to the doorman to Royalty to Stars to Government everyone I cannot individually reach out to (at a point my whatsapp crashed) but please know that you are appreciated.”
