Finland Research Bird Mistaken As a Witch Bird and Killed In Delta State.
A Finland research bird flying from Helsinki University has been mistaken as a witch bird and kill in Delta State.
This peregrine falcon was killed in a town called Ofagbe in Delta State. The bird flew all the way from Finland to Delta State with a tag on its leg which reads” Museum 200L Helsinki Finland”
This is a research bird owned by the University of Helsinki. These birds are often released by research institutes for study & experimental purposes hence the tag.
Also, such birds seen as last of their kind are also released for procreation & preservation.
