Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi’s Nephew Kidnapped
Muhammadu Sanusi the nephew of the former emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been reportedly been held captive by suspected kidnappers.
Popular newspaper Daily gathered last week that Yaya Baba as he is popularly known was kidnapped whiles in transit from Abuja to Kano along the Abuja-Kaduna highway. Sources close to the family also told the newspaper that the kidnappers has contacted the family for a ransom but refused to state the amount.
The source told the paper:
The family has sourced the requested amount and when the person assigned to deliver the money to the kidnappers set out to meet them, he lost contact with them completely. Till this moment, they have not communicated with the family.
