A French musical ensemble captivated guests at a state dinner in Paris on Thursday by presenting a rendition of P-Square’s popular track “Testimony (Taste the Money)” in tribute to President Bola Tinubu.
The event took place at the Palais de l’Élysée during Tinubu’s three-day official visit to France, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
In a widely shared video, the band showcased an energetic performance of the Afrobeat classic, artfully merging Nigerian musical elements with a distinct French style.
The audience, which included President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, responded with enthusiastic applause, clearly appreciating the cultural homage.
In addition to P-Square’s song, the band also performed “Mama Africa” by Bracket, further highlighting the richness of Nigerian music on an international platform.
