New revelations have surfaced regarding an alleged cash-for-support deal at Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s residence in Abuja, where senators were reportedly offered $10,000 and $5,000 each to back President Bola Tinubu’s state of emergency declaration in Rivers State.
Details of the Alleged Payout
The transactions reportedly occurred at Akpabio’s guest house, No. 22, Yedeseram Street, Maitama, Abuja, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
-42 senators allegedly received $10,000 each on Wednesday night.
-45 lawmakers were given $5,000 each on Tuesday night.
-Labour Party senators Victor Umeh and Neda Imasuen were reportedly involved in coordinating the distribution of the funds.
