Five people were reportedly killed in a new spate of violence that struck Jos, Plateau State’s capital on Sunday.
It was gathered that Angwan Rukuba area of Jos sunk into a fresh crisis, after the corpse of a young man discovered at Celestial bridge. It was gathered that the discovery, led to a clash between the natives and the Hausa residing in the area.
Spokesman of the Special Task Force code name Operation Safe Haven, Major Umar Adam, who confirmed the clash the left five people dead, stated that the security agents are working to ensure that there are no further attacks.
“I know that some irate youths try to cause a problem today but our men are on top of the situations and have since restore normalcy to all affect areas. I have no report of any death but some people were wounded” he said
