“People who misunderstood my comments should not be angry. I sincerely apologise for what happened because people interpret words differently, and that’s what I have come to understand.

“Some individuals have misinterpreted my words as an insult to Pasuma, but I don’t see how anyone can point to anything I said as abusive. He is my boss. Arabanbi, Apesin, Oganla Fuji. We are one, so please don’t separate us.

“Alhaji Alabi Pasuma is my boss. He knows I’m loyal to him. For it not to seem disrespectful, I apologise to Pasuma. You are an elder. To Pasuma’s fans club, I’m sorry; Taye Currency fans, one love. Alhaji Alao, please don’t be angry”, he said in Yoruba.

Taye Currency began his musical journey during his teenage years and attributes his achievements to his unwavering determination and the significant guidance provided by his industry mentor, Pasuma.
