According to a report by Vanguard newspaper, weapons such as Dane guns, bows and arrows, cutlasses, daggers among others, were said to be freely used by the warring parties in the fight which broke out yesterday morning and lasted for hours.
The elders of the community, police and other security agencies have however intervened.
The state Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed the attack said Fulani and Gbagyi elders in the area have also intervened by summoning an emergency meeting of their respective people in order to forestall any possible reprisal attacks that could lead to further bloodshed now or in the future.
