The Anti Buhari Protesters #OurMumuDonDo has terminated its sit out protest march in Abuja over death threats being received by the members of the group.
The group has been protesting against the continued stay of the ailing President Muhammadu Buhari in London asking him to resume or resign his office.
Addressing journalists the Leader of the group, Charles Oputa (Charly Boy)at the Unity Fountain said that the group decided to suspend the protest in order to restrategise and have a wider plan on the activities of the movement noting that the group has not chicken out as a result of the attack on its members at wuse market.
He explained that their members have received death threat from various quarters but they are not deterred.
According to him “We are not deterred by the intimidation and harrassment by the sponsored thugs and we cannot be cowed by a few group of people. What government want to do is to ensure that we have a clash with the hired crowd and we will not allow that to happen”
The group noted that a statement will be issued later in the day to tell Nigerians the next line of action
The group was attacked at the wuse market on Tuesday where its leader Charly Boy narrowly escaped being lynched by the angry mob. The fraca that almost resorted to ethnic crisis when the youths in the market went on rampage wielding sticks and stones attacking people and destroying properties.
