Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, released President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s address hours before it was planned for delivery.
The Presidency had already stated that Tinubu will address the country at 7 a.m. on Sunday. Sowore did, however, upload the speech on his official X account at 12:17 a.m.
In the leak, Sowore said that the speech did not address Nigerians’ essential requests, implying that demonstrations will continue as a result.
