Funke Akindele confirms her PDP deputy governorship candidacy; speaks on the cost of her career [Video]

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele Bello has finally confirmed the reports making waves about her political career, which is associated with the Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

A few minutes ago, the mother of two shared a video on her verified social media page to confirm that she has been chosen as a running mate to PDP’s Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, Dr Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor.

Recall that news broke out on the internet a few days ago that Funke Akindele was among the selected few to be reviewed as running mate for the PDP Lagos state governorship candidate.

Funke Akindele who had been known to shun any reports about her personal life and career formally declared her decision to accept Jandor’s call as the state’s deputy governor.

The mother of two also disclose that she is ready to pay the price of embracing politics which will temporarily hold her career in the Nollywood industry.
