Popular Nigerian artists Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known as Dbanj, and Michael Collins Ajereh, also called Don Jazzy, have come together to launch a new album titled ‘The Entertainer Sequel’.

Dbanj announced this on his Instagram, sharing a video featuring Don Jazzy, TV host Jimmie Akinsola, actor Gideon Okeke, and others.

This album is a continuation of Dbanj’s 2008 album ‘The Entertainer’ and includes remixes of hit songs like ‘Fall in Love’, ‘Feli Feli’, ‘Igwe’, and ‘Suddenly’.

D’Banj rose to fame with his first hit, ‘No Long Thing’, released in 2005.

He collaborated with Don Jazzy at their joint music label, ‘Mo’Hits Records’, until they had a disagreement. D’Banj’s new album is set to be released on Friday, August 16th.

In a recent movie clip, D’Banj, who was kidnapped, was shown being beaten and tied to a chair, while Don Jazzy came to save him. The video has received a lot of praise, with fans and supporters filling the comments with compliments for the music stars as actors.

In other news, Nigerian Afropop artist Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, better known as Chike, has given N1 million to a troll who criticized him for purportedly obtaining popularity from the late rapper Mohbad.

This gesture follows the publication of Chike’s smash single “Egwu,” a duet with Mohbad before his sad death.

The song immediately rose up the charts, becoming a significant success across several streaming platforms. Despite the success, several social media users accused Chike of using Mohbad’s name for personal benefit.

The criticism escalated after Chike posted a video of his new song on X (previously Twitter), prompting a specific troll, @hate_ofx, to say, “Mohbad made you.”

In an unexpected move, Chike chose to transform the criticism into a constructive deed. By giving N1 million to the troll.
