Funke Akindele, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Lagos State Deputy Governorship Candidate, has paid a visit to the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ibukun-Olu Parish Aleke Circuit Headquarters in Ikorodu as the general elections approach.
During her visit, the mother of two stated that only God could solve man’s numerous problems, but she assured that if elected, she and the flag-bearer, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, would rule with the fear of God to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
This was stated by the multi-award-winning actress during a Thanksgiving Service held to thank God for putting her on the ballot.
Akindele, who urged people to have faith in God and vote on election day, added that she remained a testimony by not giving up on life despite facing adversity.
Today; I am very happy and want to thank God for the successes achieved in life.
I did not come here today for campaign, but to thank God and worship with you as family and member of CCC.
Just help me thank God and pray for me not to experience challenges that will be more than my capacity, she said.
She added that if elected in the upcoming election, the party will make the Ikorodu area more appealing to local and foreign investors.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate also visited various communities, including Imota, and Odogunyan among others to seek support.
