Germany To Return Over 7,000 Artifacts They Stolen From Nigeria

During the colonial era many of Nigeria Cultural artifacts were shipped off to foreign shores some forgotten never to be seen again, others sitting pretty in museums of countries that stole them.

After much fight and protest to get this artifacts back to the shores of Nigeria, today we have chanced upon a piece of information that suggests that Nigeria will have its stolen artifacts returned by Germany.

This was made known in a recent post made by Africa Facts Zone on their official social media handle on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

The post made reads;

“Germany will return 7,000 stolen Benin Kingdom artifacts to Nigeria in October 2021.”

But the question on many Nigerians lips is Nigeria ready to receive this artifacts back judging by the present state of the country , are this artifacts not better off in this nations that have better tourist attractions, while they pay some royalties to Nigeria in exchange of keeping them.

One thing is for sure Nigerians need to have their cultural heritage with in  their own shores but perhaps the timing is just not right yet, what are your opinion on this new development .
