Well-known Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke explains why he criticized his fellow actor, Jim Iyke.
Previously, it was reported that he had accused Jim Iyke of being fake.
In a recent update, he shared the reason for his comments.
He mentioned that he got hurt while working on a project with Jim Iyke, which required him to get two stitches.
He mentioned that the wound took two months to heal completely.
Gideon Okeke voiced his worries about safety in production, pointing out what happened to Junior Pope earlier this year.
His words read …
“For the benefit of clarity, For the benefit of My new employers,
My supporters, and the new year coming— Jnr Pope, is one death, too many, in this business. And that only happened this year, 2024.
Had I gotten anything more than these 2 stitches on the set of iim Iyke’s production, yall would still can me a fool I guess. It’s taken 3 whole Months to heal
from that and still I am committed to ensuring SAFETY, at the Nollywood work place Sometimes I’ve asked Myself, WHY WAS IT ME WHO GOT HURT?
I guess it’S so that NOBODY ELSE, gets to take one for the team. But jim ivke is running”
