Famous Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar finally speaks out after receiving a N10 million punishment from the court for disparaging well-known preacher Apostle Suleman.
On Monday, reports broke that the actress had been sentenced to pay N10 million in damages by a Federal High Court for her ongoing dissemination of defamatory words against Apostle Johnson Suleman.
Despite having the chance to defend herself, Abubakar declined to do so, the court said. For this reason, she was compelled to remove her criticism of the priest from her Instagram page.
Halima updated her Instagram page with a fresh photo, her first since the news surfaced. She expressed her gratitude for life.
She shared the image and wrote:
“Filled with gratitude and the gift of life.
Enjoy your holiday dearies
God is good”.
