“God is using the Falana’s case to show VDM he didn’t do right by me” – Dammy Krane

  • Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has criticized internet personality Verydarkman (VDM), who was ordered by the court to retract his defamatory statement against Falana’s.
  • The singer, who was arrested in August 2024, recently took to Instagram to express her dissatisfaction with the VDM’s advocacy for her release.
  • Krane believes God is using the Falana case to demonstrate CDM’s negligence, as if it were another person, he would have investigated the evidence.

In a notable development, Nigerian artist Dammy Krane has criticized internet figure Verydarkman (VDM), who has recently been mandated by the court to retract his defamatory remarks concerning the Falana family.

On October 15, 2024, the singer expressed his views on Instagram regarding the ongoing legal proceedings, asserting that VDM failed to act appropriately on his behalf during their previous interactions. It is important to note that in August 2024, following the reported arrest of the singer by Davido, VDM had taken to social media to advocate for Krane’s release.

In the video shared, Krane remarked, “I feel like God is using this Falana case to show VDM that he didn’t do right by me because if it was another person he would have looked into the evidence.”

He accused VDM of bias, claiming that he did not adequately investigate his situation before choosing to support him.

“He would have looked into the case, where I stated that Davido owed me money for songs. It was simply things he posted online that I spoke of so VDM should have looked into it. Even in the Dangote case, it was what the police said that I repeated; he didn’t look into the evidence before coming out to talk,” said Krane.

The singer continued, “He was doing selective activism based on favouritism. Later you’d say I should apologise and say I lied and I was trying to tell him that I couldn’t apologise for saying the truth because they have no evidence against me. I was only illegally destined

“If I had apologized, they’d have had evidence to carry me to court. That’s what they’re doing with him; after he apologised, now it’s 500 million,” he added, referencing VDM’s legal troubles.
