Godswill Akpabio breaks silence over trending rumors of having many side chics

Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, breaks his silence in response to charges of having many side chics.

You may recall that a controversial blogger, caused a stir on the internet when he revealed the names of some of the Senate President’s side chics, including Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Wanneka, Ini Edo, and Dakore Egbuson, among others.

Godswill Akpabio recalls telling Senator Natasha Akpoti that they were not at a club where someone needs to shout.

He stated that his statement sparked outrage on social media, and that his wife’s phone number was published, resulting in her receiving over three thousand calls each day and her phone crashed.

The Senate President expressed his delight at the level of interest shown by Nigerians in Senate house.

He went on to say that, contrary to popular belief, he only has one wife and is quite happy with her.

Godswill Akpabio also apologized directly to Senator Natasha over his statement if she was offended by it.

In other news, Actress Dakore Akande has issued a cease and desist notice to the notorious Instagram blog “Gistloversblog” following a post linking her romantically with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

According to the notice, Akande’s legal representatives claimed that the blog published “suggestive and libellous content” featuring Akande’s image, which could “tarnish our Client’s reputation.”

The article, which has now gone viral, links Akande to Akpabio, despite her being “happily married to Mr Akande for many years” and having “never met the said Senate President in person or otherwise.”

Akande’s lawyers are demanding that the offending tweet be removed immediately, as well as an end to “any further defamatory statements” about the actress.

Her legal representation stated that failure to comply within 24 hours may result in “aggressive legal actions,” such as seeking damages, injunctive relief, and legal expenses.

The notice cites Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act, implying that the post could be considered defamation.
