Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, were spotted together during the week, laughing uncontrollably, at the Lagos Island Club.
While the cause of their amusement was not very clear, Atiku seized the opportunity to speak with members of the Club, on why they should not support President Muhmmadu Buhari’s second term Presidential bid.
Although Obasanjo and Atiku were not on good terms for years, they have since left their past behind, in order to defeat Buhari and his All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming elections.
Obasanjo recently threw his weight behind Atiku’s bid to be the number citizen of Nigeria, after the February 16 Presidential election, which has apparently given him a big momentum and the drive, that he could win the Presidential race.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki; PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus; and Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate, Jimi Agbaje; among others, were also at the event.
