A recent online report has surfaced, claiming that Nigerian music star Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, was responsible for giving fellow artist and long-time industry rival, Wizkid, his first private jet experience.
The speculation gained traction after Davido was spotted in Ghana alongside his close friend, Cubana Chiefpriest, enjoying a song by Wizkid. A video from the event captured Davido and his crew casually hanging out at a venue where he was headlining a show. When Wizkid’s hit track “Kese Kese” started playing, Cubana Chiefpriest was seen enthusiastically nodding and vibing to the music.
Shortly after, a well-known Nigerian blog shared a screenshot from Google that appeared to validate claims that in 2016, Davido allegedly arranged for Wizkid to fly on a private jet for the first time. According to the report, the trip was to Atlanta for Wizkid’s birthday, where he also met international rapper Drake and recorded the global hit “One Dance.”
While neither artist has confirmed or denied this claim, the revelation has sparked discussions among fans and music lovers, adding another layer to the ongoing history between the two Afrobeats icons.
