Nigerian gospel artist and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, gained attention recently after he shared an inspiring story about being invited to the upcoming US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast.

While performing at Pastor Poju Oyemade’s World Faith Believers Convention (WOFBEC), Bassey opened up about the phone call that resulted in his invitation.

He explained that Reverend Merrie Turner reached out to him after praying, feeling led by God to ask Bassey to bring His glory to the United States.

According to Nathaniel Bassey, Reverend Turner said;

“I was in prayer, and the Lord says to me to send for you to come release the glory of God upon our Nation.”

Nathaniel Bassey will take part in a non-political, non-governmental event prior to the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.

Scheduled for January 20, 2025, the event will be led by Reverend Turner in Washington, D.C.

The announcement of Bassey’s involvement has brought joy, particularly within Nigeria’s Christian community.

His testimony, shared with an audience that was deeply touched at WOFBEC, was received with wonder and gratitude, as many viewed it as a strong indication of divine support.
