Abba Yusuf, The governor of Kano State, has expressed his sorrow following the passing of Abdullahi Yakubu, a reporter for the Kano State Leadership newspapers.
The Deputy Governor’s Press Secretary, Malam Ibrahim Shuiabu, said this in a statement that was released on Friday in Kano.
“Governor Abba Yusuf sent his condolences to the late Abdullahi Yakubu’s family through Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Gwarzo.
After a brief illness, 55-year-old Yakubu passed away on Friday.
Yusuf expressed his sorrow and recognized the loss that the late Abdullahi’s passing had brought.
Yakubu’s passing was announced on Friday by the NUJ Correspondents Chapel in Kano.
The announcement was made in a statement given to Kano news reporters and released by the Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Garko.
The late journalist was a gentleman, according to Garko, who passed away just when humanity needed his contributions.
In order to bring the family members comfort during this trying time, he prayed for their fortitude and resiliency.
Yakubu, who passed away and was later interred in accordance with Islamic customs, was survived by a wife and kids.
