Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on their resounding victory at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on Wednesday.
In a unanimous ruling, the Tribunal affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The governor stated in a statement that the tribunal’s decision was an endorsement of Nigerians’ trust in the President, as indicated by the outcome of the presidential election.
He characterized the decision as sound, precise, and complete, emphasizing that the judges demonstrated unrivaled courage in carrying out their duty.
“It is heartwarming that the tribunal judges did not succumb to intimidation by the opposition, who deployed various antics to sway the judgement in their favour.
“The judgement is a further testament to the fact that the judiciary is the last hope of our people,” he said.
