Gov. Akeredolu, South-West Govs. To Meet Miyetti Allah.
The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and several other South-West Governors are set to meet with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Monday seven days after Akeredolu directed Fulani herdsmen to vacate the state’s forest reserves.
From the information gathered, the meeting would take place in Akure, the state capital.
According to the source, the aim of the meeting is to attend to the incessant killings, kidnapping, and crises between herdsmen and farmers in the region.
Bello Garba, the Chairman of MACBAN in the state, who confirmed the development, disclosed that the national leadership of the association had arrived in Akure in preparation for the peace meeting.
Bello while speaking with Punch said, “The National Chairman of Miyetti Allah is in town now and I cannot talk about what we want to discuss at the meeting but I can assure you that we are going to address the press tomorrow after the meeting.”
