Gov Sanwo-Olu invites DSS to Join Mohbad’s death Investigation Team

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has invited the Department of Security Services to join the probe of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

This was stated in a statement released on Tuesday and signed by Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos state commissioner for information and strategy.

Last Tuesday marked the passing of Mohbad, a former signee for Naira Marley at Marlian Records. He was 27 years old.

The former Marlian Records signee’s family and supporters received condolences from the state government as well.

Along with the Lagos police special investigative team looking into Mohbad’s death, “Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the DSS to join the investigation and broaden the dragnet with interagency cooperation and use of top-tier technology to discover the truth.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu has After a thorough investigation, ordered that anyone who may have had even the slightest part in the incident that resulted in MohBad’s death be brought before the law.

DSS has therefore joined the investigation in an effort to bring justice to the child, his family, and throngs of supporters, it continued.

The state government pleaded with anyone who might be able to provide the investigation team with crucial information that could help with the process.

“Government also appeals to the investigating team to ensure the confidentiality and protection of all witnesses who may come forward with crucial information or suggestive evidence that may assist the process,” it continued.

A candlelight procession and tribute night for the late artist were both announced by Mohbad’s management on Monday night.

Since Mohbad’s passing, his supporters and admirers have demanded a thorough investigation to determine the cause of his demise.

The management of the late singer posted on his social media accounts, saying they “appreciate the outpouring of love from Fans across the world to the ones who’ve organised events in their communities as a way to honour and pay respect to our shining light we say thank you. The candlelight procession and memorial concert for Mohbad are open to everyone. “.
