Graduate set to venture into yahoo as certificates fail to generate ₦1

  • A Nigerian graduate is considering yahoo because the certificates he worked hard for over 25 years have not earned him any money.
    • In the video, he expresses his disappointment about the current state of the country while showcasing his various certificates

A Nigerian graduate is looking into yahoo as his 15 years of education have not resulted in any income.

He expressed this in a TikTok post. In the video, he shares his frustrations about the country’s challenges while displaying his hard-earned certificates.

He mentioned that despite investing around 15 years in his education, he has not made a single naira from it.

His statement: “Guys this is it, over 15 years of going to school, 15 years of hard labor, these fucking results have not fetched me 1 naira.”

“A graduate can’t boast of #100k in your account. Even as a man, if you’re earning #300k a month, it’s not enough for you to start a family or #500k a month. #500k is not enough to rent a house in Lagos. There are places where y can’t rent a house for #500k.”

“How can someone earning #500k afford house to build for himself? If I go in search of a job in Ikorodu, I’ll be offered #30k while a pack of spaghetti is over #20k, deduct this from the #30 salary.”

“From it, you’ll save for rent, you’ll buy clothes, you’ll freshen up.”

He also expressed interest in learning fraud as many individuals suggested it to him via the comment section.

As the post made it’s way online, concerned individuals stormed the comment page of the post to share their thoughts.

In other news….. A National Youth service Corps (NYSC) member has voiced his frustration after receiving a query for not reporting to his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA), despite being involved in an accident.

Sharing his experience on X (formerly Twitter), the corps member recounted his ordeal while participating in a discussion about NYSC challenges.

He explained that the accident had left him unable to resume at his assigned workplace. According to him, he had properly notified both his PPA and the Local Government Inspector (LGI) about his condition. Initially, they appeared understanding of his situation, but he was later issued a formal query despite following the necessary procedures.

Few weeks ago, this happened to me, returning from my PPA. One week later, they served me a query because my PPA was visited, and I wasn’t on the ground. Me wey dey recover for house,” he wrote.

“I promise you I did both. Walahi, my PPA understood and sympathized with me (perhaps because I’m not being paid). LG office said it was well with me that week, then slammed me with a query the next week.”

As his post became popular online, numerous worried people filled the comment section to express their opinions about his experience.

    See some reactions below:

@madee_laine: “Can you imagine?? I’m sorry you had to deal with that. I hope you’re better now?”

@cee_4ourr: “They’ll tell you why not go to the NHIS hospital they gave you.”

@MzTaiwoO: “This cannot happen in Lagos state during my own time oo. All you have to do is write to your PPA and your LG office. If you didn’t do that, they will serve you na.”
