    After the Grammys overlooked Afrobeats artists Tems and Wizkid from their prize list, netizens had different views.

    Earlier today, the Grammys unveiled a list of African performers who had received Grammy Awards in recent years.

    African singers who have received golden records since the 1960s have been named by the organisers of the 66th Grammy Awards, which will take place on February 4.

    The late South African singer Miriam Makeba was the first African to get a Grammy award, according to the list.

    Sade, a pop phenomenon, accomplished the same, becoming the first Nigerian to win the prestigious prize globally. Burna Boy, on the other hand, became the latest and most recent Nigerian to claim the prestigious prize.
