Nigerian lady begins 100 hours of marathon talk show in attempt to break Guinness World Records

Amuda Mariam, popularly known as Mary Gold, a Nigerian media personality and TV host at Nigezie Xtreme, has surpassed her 100-hour target for her marathon television talk show to break the Guinness World Records.

Mariam extended her hosting streak for an additional 7 hours, similar to Eniola Subair, an OAU 200 level student who completed 58 hours of wash-a-thon.

The marathon, which began on Saturday, December 16 and will conclude today, December 20, was held in Lagos and involved the on-air personality hosting over 100 guests on her show.

It should be noted that Guinness World Records approved her quest via email and sent their rules and regulations, as well as everything else related to the attempt.

However, Mariam shared her achievements via her official Instagram page with video capturing her happy moments.

She wrote, “100 HOURS IN🎉💃🏾🎉…. 7 extra hours to GO!! Marygold Moment! This moment is proof that with dedication, hardwork and God on your side, you can achieve absolutely anything you put your mind to ! Don’t give up, don’t give in! The sky is only the beginning.”

Supporters flooded her comment sections with congratulatory messages. Some reactions are shown below:
