In a dramatic turn, actress Halima Abubakar has launched a legal challenge against Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), following her suspension for alleged false news.
The situation escalated last Friday when Emeka declared her suspension, citing a two-year investigation that supposedly found her guilty of spreading damaging rumors about her colleagues and prominent personalities in the entertainment industry.
Parts of letter reads;
“Instead of respecting our client’s rights to privacy and a fair hearing, you chose this sensitive period to promote your false story,
“Your false publication has severely damaged our client’s reputation and continues to do so with every passing minute”
