Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okueneye Olanrewaju, often known as Bobrisky, has sparked emotional reactions online with the release of a new video showing his appearance at the court.
Bobrisky arrives at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, for his arraignment by the EFCC today, April 5.
Around 9 a.m., EFCC agents drove him to the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, in a white Hiace Toyota bus escorted by armed police officers.
Bobrisky is set to face sanctions from the anti-graft agency in response to claims of money laundering and Naira abuse.
On Thursday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a six-count complaint against Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
While the first four counts of the charge border on abuse of the Naira, the last two counts border on alleged money laundering.
Bobrisky was caught and jailed on Wednesday night, but he was released yesterday, Thursday, before being charged with money laundering by the EFCC on Friday.
According to reports, Bobrisky was detained in a separate cell today as the EFCC arraigned him on charges of N180.7 million in money laundering and N490,000 in abuse.
