David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, a Nigerian musician, made a promise to help rapper Odumodublvck in his effort to take home the ‘Next Rated’ award at the 2023 Headies.
Hours after performing at Afe Babalola University in ABUAD, he made the promise over a video call with the singer of “Declan Rice.”
Davido praised Odumodublvck for the music show, calling it “crazy” and something he was proud of.
The Omo Baba Olowo, said that Odumodu’s chance of winning the Headies Award is guaranteed once he gets involved in the matter.
Davido said; “That Next Rated, na you go collect am. By the time 001 enter the matter e don finish.”
The DMW boss concluded by telling the Hip Hop artiste to call him the next day.
Reason Burna Boy and Wizkid didn’t attend the Headies Award 2022 revealed
Following the successful completion of the 15th edition of the headies awards 2022, fans have wondered why some of the biggest names in the music industry such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and so on had not made an appearance at the event.
Wizkid who had graced the last occasion which was held in Nigeria was confirmed to have missed out on the award ceremony as a result of having a show in the UK on the same day of the event which had been from Sunday the 4th of September till Monday the 5th of September 2022.
This was confirmed by his manager Sunday Are at the event who had stepped on stage to receive his awards.
Burna Boy had been named as one of the major headliners for the ‘Made In America‘ festival 2022 which had also been on the same day as the headies awards.
Wizkid been the biggest winner of the night with Burna Boy also picking 2 awards in major categories as well.
