It was black Thursday in Benue state as 75 indigenes in the state who were killed in the Fulani herdsmen massacre that took place on New Year day and January 6th respectively, were laid to rest. A requim mass held at the IBB square in Makurdi and was attended by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, his wife and other government officials as well as other residents of the state. Thereafter the remains of the deceased were taken to a site where they were all buried.
Among those that were buried were four-year-old Terkaa and Mrs Sarah who was killed with her eight months pregnancy.
