For weeks now, Nigerians have been cash stranded and had to resort to alternative means of cash withdrawal following the scarcity of naira notes in the banks.
Some heartbreaking videos of frustrated customers displaying their frustration and anger in Nigerian banks have now gone viral on social media.
Nigeria announced a change in some naira notes in November, citing security concerns, hoarding of currency, and an escalation of cybercrimes as reasons for the change.
The naira scarcity came amid the scarcity of petrol and a hike in the price.
