Help me convince Rihanna to feature in my album - DJ Khaled says

American disc jockey DJ Khaled has urged fans to contact Rihanna and persuade her to feature on his next album.

During a recent interview on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, the singer of the famous song “Another One” appealed to his followers.

Khaled claimed that he had sent Rihanna a song he wanted her to feature in, and he asked her fans to help him convince her to sing a verse on the song.

“I just sent her [Rihanna] a record that I want her to get on. I need y’all to help me get the message to her,” he pleaded with the audience.

DJ Khaled’s upcoming 14th studio album, “Til Next Time,” is expected to be released later this year.

In a previous year’s Rolling Stone interview, the music superstar stated that Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian performer, would be on the album.

In other news, popular Nigerian singer, Sarah Aderibigbe popularly known as Ayra Starr has become the most streamed Nigerian artist on Spotify globally.

This achievement was announced by Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, during a press conference in Lagos.

Ayra Starr’s collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on “Santa” and her solo tune “Comma” earned the top two slots, with Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” came in third, highlighting Nigerian musicians’ talents on the music streaming site.

According to Spotify’s 2024 music global impact list, Luciano and Omah Lay’s duet “Another Vibe” ranks fourth, while 21 Savage, Burna Boy, and Metro Boomin’s “Just Like Me” ranked fifth.

Tyla and Tems’ “No.1” secures sixth place.

According to the Spotify CEO, the platform’s 2024 music global impact list focuses on the 30 artists with the greatest worldwide reach and streaming success.

She said:

“Spotify has unveiled its global Impact List in Nigeria, recognising the top 30 tracks from Nigeria with the biggest global impact on Spotify over the first half of 2024.

“The list recognises Nigerian tracks that have had the most listens from outside Nigeria in the first half of 2024, and were released between January 1 and June 30.

“Usher and Pheelz’s Ruin is the seventh Nigerian most streamed across the globe, Reis B and Tempoe’s Pretty Girl came eighth and TitoM, Yuppe, Burna Boy and S.N.E’s Tshwala Bam, clinched the ninth position.

“Ayra Starr and Giveon’s Last Heartbreak Song is the tenth, Victony’s Everything came 11th, Aya Nakamura and Ayra Starr’s Hype emerged 12th most streamed while Tems and J.Cole’s Free Fall, came 13th.
