Toyin Lawani, a popular Nigerian celebrity designer famous for her fashion innovation, has come under fire for her interesting attire at the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The AMVCA 2024, which began on Friday night with the ‘Cultural Day’, will take place today, Saturday, May 11th, in Lagos.
Numerous performers and celebrities have begun to display their preparedness for the event by bombarding their different social media accounts with breathtaking outfits and seductive looks.
Toyin Lawani, better known as Tiannah Empire, took to her timeline to show off her dress for the occasion, sparking a stir online.
The self-proclaimed ‘King of Fashion’ was spotted wearing an armless corset gown fashioned of an imprinted sack used to transport beans and other local commodities.
While Tiannah expressed satisfaction in creating her fashionable costume, netizens chastised her for wearing such clothing for the AMVCA. Many people said she had a garish appearance.
