Veteran actress Stella Damasus took to her Twitter yesterday to address folk who keep calling her “Stella Damascus,” but folks have refused the correction.
According to everyone, they grew up knowing her as Damascus, and so shall it remain.
Seeing that she can’t change the minds of the millions who grew up watching her, she acquiesced: “No go put DAMASCUS on my checks please. As a proud Igbo babe I don’t play with my ego. All checks should read STELLA DAMASUS. Thank you.”
See the hilarious exchange:

YES OOO, ESPECIALLY CHECKS. NO GO PUT DAMASCUS ON MY CHECKS PLEASE. AS A PROUD IGBO BABE I DON’T PLAY WITH MY EGO.
