The mother of the late Nigerian music star Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, recently shared her thoughts on the first anniversary of her son’s passing.
It is no longer a news that Mohbad passed away in Lagos on September 12 due to an alleged ear infection. He was previously signed to Marlian Music, a label run by Naira Marley, and was laid to rest in his hometown of Ikorodu less than a day after his death.
Since then, attempts to uncover the truth about his death have not been successful.
Recently, Mohbad’s mother spoke at the coroner’s inquest. She expressed her complete support for the singer’s father.
She mentioned that all decisions are his to make and asked the public to pray for her late son, whether in church or mosque, as they do not want a large celebration.
Mohbad’s mum said:
“Whatever Mohbad’s dad says is the final. We don’t want any elaborate celebration over our son’s remembrance. The best you can do is to pray for him. You all should please leave us alone and let us settle our family”
