Renowned Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx has shared his harrowing experience of nearly losing his life due to a medical emergency in 2023, which rendered him bedridden for several months.
Foxx reportedly elaborated on this “near-death experience” during his standup performance, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was,” which premiered on December 10.
Demecos Chambers, a devoted fan of Foxx who was present at the Atlanta filming, informed CNN that the Oscar-winning actor spoke in detail about his recovery and revealed the nature of his previously undisclosed illness.
Chambers noted that Jamie Foxx recounted the entire sequence of events, from collapsing on the set of “Back in Action” to regaining consciousness after a span of 20 days.
Foxx reportedly told the audience that “he passed out and remembered waking up” before calling it a “near-death experience.”
“He spoke about waking up in the hospital,” Chambers continued. “He thought he just passed out for a second, but it was two or three weeks. He was in a stone-cold coma.”
