Former Super Eagles footballer Emmanuel Emenike is causing a stir over the Lagos State government’s bulldozer blitz, which has left several Igbo people in the state stranded.

The Lagos State government began demolishing unlawful structures erected on canals and waterways along the Gedegede – Mobil road – Megamound Estate – Ikota drainage channels last week.

The Ministry of Environment and Water Resources recognized the need to carry out the demolition activity in order to prevent future erosion and flooding in the environment.

During the demolition exercise, multimillion-naira properties were demolished under the supervision of the Operatives Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

Emenike responded emotionally and shared a vivid snapshot of the demolished property on his Instagram story, expressing his great empathy for the profound loss felt by those involved.

He said that they had obtained permission from the same Lagos State Government that had later destroyed their properties.

Emenike didn’t mince words, describing this behavior as a blatant illustration of depravity in its purest form.

With genuine care for his fellow Igbo brothers and sisters in the state, he gave smart advise, pushing them to repatriate their money to the safety of their eastern roots, especially citing Abia, Imo, Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi as safe havens.

He wrote;

“THE SADNESS IS TOO MUCH AFTER GETTING APPROVAL FROM THE SAME LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT, THIS IS PURE WICKEDNESS.

“IGBOS ARE IN TROUBLE, BRING YOUR INVESTMENT BACK HOME MY PEOPLE WE HAVE, ABIA STATE, IMO STATE, ANAMBRA STATE, ENUGUSTATE AND EBONYI STATE.”
