Seun Kuti, the offspring of the renowned Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti, has shared insights into the influence his father had on the white women in his vicinity.
During an Instagram live session, Seun disclosed that Fela frequently welcomed white women into their home, alongside his Nigerian friends.
He emphasized that Fela remained true to himself and did not alter his identity for the white women; instead, it was they who transformed as a result of his presence.
“My father had white women in his house. When I grew up, there were like two white women at least living with us. He always had white ones with the black ones.
“Instead of Fela to wear a suit and tie so that the white women would see him as fine, the women were the ones who started wearing shrine regalia and African hairstyles.
“Fela never changed because of them but they changed because of him because Fela already knew who he was and his love for Africa,” Seun Kuti shared.
In other news, Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, causes a stir as he talks about the late singer’s will in a viral video.
In a recent TikTok live session, he shared his anger over claims made by Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, about his supposed role in the singer’s unfortunate death.
Aloba expressed sadness about Mohbad’s choice to put two pieces of land in his son Liam’s name instead of his own.
He feels that since he never bought anything under Mohbad’s name, Mohbad shouldn’t have bought the land in Liam’s name.
He disclosed that Wunmi’s mother was responsible for Mohbad’s other properties, which include two acres in Agbowa and two plots in Elepe.
He criticized Wunmi’s statements as false and misleading, and mentioned that he has never met the nurse who treated Mohbad.
In his words, “When he came back from the tour, he told me that he bought another two plots of land in Elepe but it is written in Liam’s name. I don’t know the reason. I am the father to Mohbad. I’ve never bought anything in his name, so why will he buy something in Liam’s name but they bought that two plots of land in Liam’s name.”
“I’ve never set my eyes on the nurse for my life. If I see nurse, it may be inside the internet. I and Nurse never had a conversation in my life. It was Wunmi’s mother that knew where Mohbad’s properties are. She is a police officer. I’m just a carpenter.”
His comments have sparked a variety of reactions on social media, with many discussing the ongoing issues related to Mohbad’s death. Some have called him entitled and greedy.
Since Mohbad passed away, his family has faced several controversies, including fights over inheritance and claims of wrongdoing.
