Budding singer Womuru Nnedah, popularly known as Miss Eddy, is finally stepping into her true calling with the release of her debut single, ‘Over’. Growing up in the vibrant city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Miss Eddy was immersed in a culture that encouraged audacity, resilience, and a powerful voice. Now, with the release of this emotional track, she is embracing her purpose as an artist.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘Over’, Miss Eddy shared, “I feel like I am finally doing what my soul craves. I feel useful to myself as a human being at last. The song was written from a place of pain. It was my first time going through a heartbreak, and I really didn’t want to talk to anyone about it. I had to express those emotions in a song, so I could completely let go.”
Signed to Baatifekori, a media management company, Miss Eddy credits her upbringing in Port Harcourt for shaping her sound and artistic identity. She said, “Just by listening to my song, you can hear the audacity it carries. Port Harcourt teaches you to be outspoken, strong-willed, and unapologetically bold. Those are the qualities that resonate in my music.”
With ‘Over’, Miss Eddy is ready to make her mark, channeling her emotions into her art while remaining true to her roots.
