Shallipopi, a budding Afrobeat artist, talks about how unexpected it is for his followers to praise him for saving their lives via his music.
The musician, who recently broke down in tears upon seeing his mother again, stressed the influence of his music on the public during a recent conversation on Afro Melodies Talk.
Shallipopi says he finds it incredible when his admirers give him favorable comments, especially the ones who say it changed their lives.
The musician claimed that although the comment frequently surprises him, there are occasions when he may agree with them since different individuals are affected by music in various ways.
“People go dey message me say ‘your music saved my life.’ Which music? Shey na ‘BTC dey body’ save your life or which one? But the thing is music can affect anybody anyhow,” he stated.
