  • The Osun State party Secretariat in Osogbo highlighted the significance of revitalizing state chapters for efficient administration during a recent visit.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, serving as the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has publicly expressed his commitment to alleviating Nigeria’s economic challenges by the year 2027.

Kwankwaso further indicated that the party intends to strengthen its state branches in order to effectively contest the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming 2027 elections.

This initiative is a component of their broader strategy aimed at seizing control from the APC in the future.

During a recent visit to the Osun State party Secretariat, situated along the Osogbo-Ikirun road in Osogbo over the weekend, the focus was placed on the necessity of revitalizing state chapters to ensure efficient and effective governance.

A statement released to the press by the State Party Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, noted that Kwankwaso, represented by a three-member delegation led by Dr. Rahila Mukhtar, affirmed that the NNPP remains steadfast as an opposition party in the nation and is prepared to alleviate the economic difficulties faced by the populace.

He remarked that reports from various states, particularly Osun, bring him satisfaction as the national leader. While acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead towards 2027, he emphasized their readiness to confront them.

“Nigerians have so far realised that various leaders we have been having are intentionally using poverty to improvise citizens to cajole them again in 2027 with crumbs. I will not deceive them but rescue the country from the present quagmire.

“NNPP, as a party, have good intentions for the masses. We have started mobilising people all over. We are equipping our state secretariats and we are also providing them with vehicles to ease their movement”.

In his introductory remarks, Osun NNPP Chairman, Dr. Odeyemi, praised Kwankwaso for being a leader who prioritizes the well-being of the populace.

He assured that he and his working committee would not relent in their efforts to make the party appealing to the citizens of Osun.

He praised Dr. Rahila and her colleagues, Dr. Muhammad Khalil and Alhaji Abdusalam Abdulateef, for their steadfast commitment to the truth and their collaboration with the party in its endeavor to save Nigeria.
