Oluwatise, a Nigerian lady, shared her remarkable story of landing a job under unusual circumstances with the help of an Uber driver.

She ordered an Uber, not realizing that her chance encounter with the driver would result in a chance encounter that would change her life.

Oluwatise spoke with the Uber driver about her financial difficulties as a college student during the course of the ride.

To her surprise, the driver, who also happened to be a senior manager at a reputable company, understood her predicament and went above and beyond by extending her an offer of employment despite the fact that she lacked the necessary qualifications.

The young woman initially struggled to accept that an Uber driver would offer her such a senior position in the business.

Her skepticism quickly gave way to amazement as she learned the driver’s real identity and position in the industry.

It turned out that the company had just recently stopped hiring.

The Uber driver, who was a senior manager for the business, saw potential in Oluwatise, so he used his position to get the company to reopen the application link especially for her.

Oluwatise was inspired by this unexpected chance and applied for the job right away.

To her surprise, she quickly heard back and soon found herself attending an interview.

By proving her abilities, she was able to successfully land the job, which astonishingly allowed her to work remotely.

Oluwatise wrote;

“I always tell ppl to be extroverted and not stuck up. The job I’ve been working for the past seven months came from an Uber driver. I was sitting in his car talking with him and complained about being a broke college kid and he offered me a job that I wasn’t even qualified for.

It literally was remote and everything. Turns out he was the senior manager at the company and they had just stopped hiring but he got them to reopen the link for me, interview me and get me hired within a week.“
