A Suspect Has Revealed That He Uses Charms To Steal Motorcycles From His Victims.
The Niger State police arrested three men who allegedly belong to a gang of motorcycle thieves terrorizing Ebbo community in the Lapai Local Government Area.
The suspects, Umar Idris, 21, Mohammed Gazuma, 24, and Emmnuel Titus, 24, all from Kpatsuwa village in the Abaji Area Council of Abuja were seen with a motorcycle suspected to be stolen and were subsequently intercepted by police operatives.
Northern City News gathered that the suspects used guns, charms and other weapons to attack their victims.
One of the suspects, Gazuma, told newsmen that he used charms to dispossess victims of their motorcycles. He said;
“The moment I stopped any of my victims with the charms on my palm, I will shake his hand and whatever I asked him to do, he will do it without question and I will take way the motorcycle.”
Gazuma added that he assaulted only uncooperative motorcyclist who refused to part with their motorcycle.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mohammad Abubakar, said the suspects confessed that they robbed one Abubakar Shuaibu of his motorcycle.
He also made it known that the operatives recovered one motorcycle, one locally-made revolver pistol with one live ammunition, face mask and charm from the suspects.
