ThankGod Omori Jesam, a well-known Nigerian video director, has opened up about what it was like to work with Davido for the first time.
‘Feel’ is one of the most popular songs from Davido’s Timeless album, and TG Omori has been tasked with bringing the story to life.
The most sought-after music video director expressed excitement about working with Davido for the first time in a brief interview with CNN.
In his words, the set has been a rollercoaster, as “the singer is gradually getting into character with his fresh burst of energy.”
Omori revealed his vision for the Feel video, saying he wanted to use it to tell a moving love story that would connect with viewers. Omori, TG, added:
”It’s a very intentional video for me and for my people, it’s like a statement, they have to feel it.”
Davido’s long-time friend and manager, Asa Asika, was also spotted on set making sure things ran smoothly. See video:
Born David Adeleke, Davido is a Nigerian Afrobeats musician who recently disclosed that he paid N100 million on a TG Omori-directed music video.
He revealed this in an interview he recently gave to Beats 99.9 FM about his most recent record, Timeless.
Davido expressed his satisfaction with the work that Omori produced and pointed out that this is the first N100m that the young filmmaker has ever received from an artist.
The DMW boss revealed that although the shoot spanned six days, Davido only showed up for three of those days to film his own scenes. The remaining three days were handled by TG Omori.
He praised the boy director for paying attention to details. The song in question whose video was done is for “LCND- Legends Can Never Die”.
Davido also talked about how difficult it was for him to release Timeless, as he explained that he did not want to sound sad or depressed and he tried his best to put out good songs with powerful lyrics.
