David Adeleke aka Davido, an award-winning Nigerian artist, has disclosed that he connected his father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke, with World Bank President David Malpass.
Davido stated that he was able to connect his rich father with Malpass during a brief encounter at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In an interview with American media personality Big Boi, the ‘Fall’ crooner revealed that his father has been attempting to see the World Bank president for some time but has had no luck.
The Omo Baba Olowo stated that after performing the World Cup closing ceremony, he ran into Malpass at his hotel, and the economic analyst praised his performance.
He claimed that as soon as they exchanged pleasantries and Malpass introduced himself, he contacted his father and informed him that he was meeting with the President of the worldwide bank.
When he said that, his father requested him to give the phone to Malpass, and that’s how they connected for a deal.
Davido said; “My dad has a lot of friends in high places and he has been trying to look for the president of the world bank. He’s been trying to get to the guy and the guy was at the world cup.
He sees me in the hotel and says “Davido I enjoyed your performance, I am the President of the World Bank”, I said; “Hold on “hello daddy, I have the president of the world bank” and he said; “Give him the phone”, connected the deal just like that.”
