Brazilian superstar, Neymar Jr who plays for PSG, has lost the long-standing court battle against his former employers, Barcelona.
Neymar took Barcelona took court claiming the club owed him him a whopping €43.6 million (R848 million) from his salary and a signing-on fee, but the social court in Spain has now dismissed his claims.
Neymar must now pay Barcelona €6.7million (£6m) for losing the court case.
It is understood that Neymar was eligible for a bonus if he was still at Barcelona on 31 July 2017, with his move to PSG only being completed on 3 August that year.
However, the Blaugrana had reportedly found out about his intention to leave Barca before 31 July and opted to keep parts of his renewal bonus, which saw the player and his entourage take the club to court.
Neymar reportedly came close to returning to Barcelona ahead of the current season, and remains keen on a move back to the Camp Nou.
