Adedamola Adefolahan better known as Fireboy DML, Nigerian singer cum songwriter, has revealed how he was inspired to make his hit song, Peru.
The singer said that some part of the lyrics was inspired by DMW artiste, Peruzzi, who usually uses a hook on his songs.
Fireboy noted that when he said ”I’m looooo, Peru don dey para”, that it was an allusion to Peruzzi.
Speaking in a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, the YBNL Nation added that he recorded the song because he found himself in the United States for the first time.
He said that he experienced a writer’s block prior to that time, so recording Peru was a spontaneous move.
The Vibration crooner said that he was almost depressed at the time and when he landed in Miami, USA, he was intrigued by the feeling and experience after visiting a strip club.
